Create & manage a pool

Creation access, inventory changes, purchase controls, reserve funding, and permanent retirement.

Choose the wallet that will own your pool carefully. Ownership cannot be transferred or renounced, and the pool type is fixed when created. Only that wallet can supply inventory, change local settings, withdraw owner proceeds, or retire the pool.

Creation eligibility

Creation must be enabled by the platform. In the default beta-access mode, your lifetime allowance is the number of historical activations recorded for your wallet in FWAIR PFP beta one. One activation allows one pool; two allow two. Holding a PFP alone does not replace that activation requirement.

The allowance combines standard and buyback pools. Retiring a pool never restores an allowance. Historical activations continue to count after a beta ends or its PFP is withdrawn, and a later beta does not change the fixed beta-one reference. If the factory owner disables beta access, a separate lifetime cap applies, initially one pool per wallet.

A shared creation fee may be charged in FWA; its default is zero. If a fee is set, approve the quoted amount for the factory. It is sent directly to the dead address. This removes those tokens from practical circulation without reducing the token's total supply. If the configured fee changes before creation, a stale fee quote causes the transaction to revert.

Load and open your pool

  • Select standard or buyback. Standard pools need NFTs and assigned prices. Buyback pools need NFTs plus the full ETH backing for every listing. Both accept ERC721s without a collection whitelist.
  • Approve and list your NFTs. Inventory belongs to your pool only after a listing transaction succeeds. Use the listing flow; sending an NFT directly does not create a tracked listing.
  • Review values and odds. Cheaper listings are more likely to be drawn. Your values determine the entire pool's purchase price as well as each NFT's probability.
  • Configure purchase access. An optional purchase policy can restrict eligible purchasers, including when someone else pays for them. Leaving it unset adds no wallet-specific restriction. New pools start with local purchases disabled.
  • Enable purchases. The inventory cooldown must have elapsed and platform purchase and randomness gates must also be open. Locally enabling a pool cannot override a platform pause.

Change inventory and collect proceeds

You can reprice or withdraw an active listing when the pool has no unresolved draws. Buyback backing increases require the extra ETH; reductions return the difference. Withdrawing an available buyback listing returns its NFT and backing. New listings added during outstanding draws wait for their ordinary activation order.

Withdraw earned owner proceeds separately. In a buyback pool, acquisition proceeds can optionally fund the reload reserve instead. Reserve ETH can be withdrawn while automatic reload is disabled. The buyback guide explains both reserve options and settlement income.

A purchase policy checks the named purchaser when a request is opened. An eligible payer cannot buy for an ineligible purchaser. Changing or clearing the policy affects future purchases; it cannot stop an existing draw, settlement, or claim. The policy is a boolean eligibility check, so a successful batch check does not itself consume a per-wallet purchase allowance.

Pause or retire

Disable local purchases to pause and reopen later. Retire the pool when you want to close it permanently. Retirement blocks new purchases and listings, repricing, backing changes, and new owner configuration. It also disables automatic reload and acquisition-proceeds routing.

Existing draws, allocations, delivery recovery, refunds, and proceeds withdrawals remain available. Retirement does not let you withdraw an NFT reserved for a buyer or bypass the pending-draw lock. Staged listings must first become active through their ordinary queue, and allocated buyback NFTs must settle. A retired pool remains part of your lifetime creation count.
