Exits & recovery

The lifecycle rules that keep acquisitions, withdrawals, refunds, and transfers bounded.

The main pool (V2) keeps listing backing, acquisition escrow, earned ETH, and token rewards in separate accounting categories. Its lifecycle rules, oracle policy, and crown commitment determine when an asset can move and who receives it.

Requests, withdrawals, and refunds

  • Ordered processing. Acquisitions process in request order. New deposits stage while requests remain unresolved, and later callbacks cannot skip earlier requests.
  • Active exits wait for the queue. Withdrawals and backing changes require every issued acquisition to become terminal. Each missing word has a fixed deadline, but sustained new requests can extend the period before the queue becomes empty.
  • Refunds are withdrawable credits. Expiry, empty-pool, and excessive price-drift outcomes credit the acquisition fee for later withdrawal by the purchaser named in the request. This can differ from the caller who paid. The VRF service fee is excluded.
  • Pausing does not cancel issued requests. The owner can disable new acquisitions and enable withdraw-only mode. Existing requests must still process or expire before active exits unlock.
  • Staged listings need activation before ordinary withdrawal. Once the queue is idle, anyone can activate staged listings and the depositor can use the normal exit. The pool also permits qualifying unreserved staged listings to be removed by a cold-window drift kick.

Oracle policy and cold windows

Nonexempt listings and backing updates require an accepted oracle observation. The pool checks its age, bid/ask structure, and challenge period before applying the ask-plus-premium backing ceiling. The oracle owner can also publish a trusted manual quote, so a displayed oracle floor is not necessarily the result of a completed market challenge.

The pool blocks new purchases at 11:45–12:00 and 23:45–00:00 UTC. During those windows, and only with the acquisition queue clear, anyone can kick an nonexempt position above the valid current ceiling. The NFT and full backing return to the depositor, with active rewards and crown earnings settled. Missing or stale quotes do not authorize a kick. A kick needs an onchain transaction; a changed quote does not itself remove a listing.

Canonical FWAIR listing snapshots and currently enabled collection oracle exemptions prevent drift removal. Revoking a collection exemption restores oracle checks and kick eligibility under the normal rules, without adding an oracle requirement to withdrawals or non-relisting settlements. Both exemption types still follow ordinary admission and applicable early-crown rules. The main pool overview explains the 1% fee for voluntarily withdrawing or reducing a crown during its first 12 hours.

Settlement and asset recovery

After the purchaser's exclusive window, the depositor can resolve an allocated position. After the longer finalize window, anyone can resolve it with the NFT going to the purchaser. A purchaser's keep-NFT transfer is strict; other transfer-bearing settlement paths can record failed NFT delivery for recovery by the entitled recipient. See Settlement for the choices and limits.

The pool isolates failed downstream settlement callbacks. Its FWAIR receipt remains available for later synchronization even if the launch does not handle the automatic notification. If the pool's call to the notifier itself fails, the entire settlement reverts and can be attempted again. The callback guide distinguishes that failure from a failed individual receiver call.

Administrative controls

The pool owner controls admission, operational gates, bounded configuration, and future fee routing. The owner also controls the accepted oracle, quote-age policy, premium, collection oracle exemptions, and FWAIR registry. The independent ETH and FWA cashout rates are read at settlement; an already allocated position does not lock in either rate. These powers can change listing eligibility or make an ordinary position eligible for a kick; a kick returns assets to the depositor rather than to the administrator.

Listing escrow and accounted ETH credits are not a discretionary owner withdrawal balance. Reward supply has separate administration: when its recovery conditions are met, remaining tokens can be rescued to another destination. An announced reward claim window therefore matters. FWAIR launches and Custom Pools have their own owners, timing rules, and claim paths.

Acquisition credits use withdrawAcquisitionRefund; earned main-pool fee credits use withdrawEarnings; failed settlement NFT deliveries use recoverStuckNFT. Use the contract where the entitlement was recorded.
